WEDDING PLANS

When couples are planning to be married, sometimes one or both may sense an affinity to Zen, meditation, Buddhism, or some similar path.  They may be considering whether a Zen Buddhist minister from ZCOC might officiate at their wedding ceremony.

For the ceremony to be meaningful, we ask that the partners participate in Zen practice for a minimum of six months before the date of the wedding.  Please contact the center if you would like further information about the marriage preparation program.  This preparation focuses upon development of the Zen and Buddhist paths to contribute to a strong partnership and family life.  The marriage ceremony itself may combine traditional elements with personalized choices.
