Regular Practitioner Program

After attending an Introductory Workshop or the Zen JumpStart program, the next step is the New Practitioner program.  After the New Practitioner program, you may enroll in the Regular Practitioner program.

bulletThe Regular Practitioner Program at ZCOC provides for 10 to 12 programs per month of seated meditation, talks, readings, discussions, work practice, individual instruction, service projects, and socials. The Center also provides special programs, workshops, formal tea ceremony, and community meetings. ZCOC offers regular opportunities for intensive practice: Zazenkai (one day retreats) and Sesshin (two, three and five day retreats).

bulletThose who practice at the Center may come to all or as many of the programs as they wish. Regular practitioners are asked to attend a minimum of twice a month, including one samu (work practice) and one individual instruction, as well as to read the monthly newsletter to stay up to date.

bulletFees paid by those who practice at the Center are the primary means of financial support for ZCOC and are fully tax deductible. We ask that fees be paid the first of each month; we do not send bills, reminders or receipts. Fees are $70.00 per month.

bulletYou will receive a password for the practitioners' website which contains orientation information.
